Message | Wages are determined by the movements of the free market. This provides an efficient solution. Tukarali does not use the dollar as a currency, so it makes no sense for any laws to be expressed in terms of dollars. The minimum income is already set at somewhere between 45,000 and 50,000 Tukars, which is a perfectly fair minimum income. The age of retirement should be increased, if anything. Retirees are burdens on society. Citizenship should be given to any person who wishes to subject themselves to the laws of Tukarali and to be brought under Tukarali's protection. There is no need for an exam. Indeed, what could an exam possibly test? On the other hand, adulthood should be determined by a test, to ensure that only those who have the requisite mental capacity are given the privileges and duties of adults. How is a person 17 years 364 days old any different from a person 18 years old? Both could potentially demonstrate the requisite mental capacity. Using age is an arbitrary measurement, and is contrary to human rights. |
