MessageMedia should not be regulated. All people have a right to free media, and it is in fact a sine qua non of a modern liberal democracy.

Subsidies to non-profit tv stations are a waste of taxpayer money.

MessageThe bill has been changed. Only International media will be regulated and subject to the same content as domestic media content (which at this point is almost nothing). If the current government is against 'hate speech,' then it should take a position against foreign material which might contain hate speech. Otherwise, any content should be allowed.

Regarding internet regulations, the police should be permitted to investigate those who commit acts of fraud on the internet.

MessageThe current government believes that the media has the right to publish anything, even hate speech. The fact that the law does not presently reflect this is simply legislative oversight.

Fraud is a crime whether it is committed on the Internet or not, and can be investigated regardless. The difference between the current and proposed law is one mainly of principle. We believe that in principle the Internet should be free from regulation.

MessageIn this case, we will propose a bill lifting bans on hate speech.

MessageAlso, the proposed change does not propose to regulate the internet. Anyone may use the Internet, but this gives the police the legal tools to use the internet in their line of work, and within the lines of the constitution, when such action is needed. It removes ambiguity on the legality of collecting evidence from the internet.

MessageEvidence from the Internet should not be admissible and should not be collected, as any monitoring infringes on free media. That is the reason we prefer the current law.

MessageThe media should not be able to publish hate speech, as it is contrary to human rights. Noone should be discriminated against.

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others.
