Message | The F.R.P. has no problems with article 1 as proposed given the circumstances in which we will most certainly find ourselves in. Article 2 however, gives our senior members pause. Should we not as a nation stand-up for at least some shred of morality even in the darkest hours of it? The argument can easily be made even within the rank and file of the F.R.P. to support this measure. Though, the chief concern that arises is a keen awareness that by taking this step that in any future conflict the noble men and women who serve our federation would be put at a higher risk given a history of disregard for international law. Accordingly, it is the desire of the representatives within the F.R.P. that Article 2 be further discussed on the floor. As it stands, the F.R.P. will have to abstain from this measure unless given sufficient cause to support it in the face of our objections. We welcome the Minister of Defense to weigh in on this specific topic and to share the expertise the Ministry of Defense has in this area. F.R.P. Spokesman, Brandon L. Friedman |
