Bill: Meditation Minute
Details
Submitted by[?]: Cooperative Commonwealth Federation
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2126
Description[?]:
in yet another desperate attempt to cram religion and spirituality down the throats of the people, the Greens propose once again a much-reviled idea in the hopes that the recent religious revival sweeping the Citizens Assembly will allow passage of this bill. Tally ho! Lodamun schools will begin their day with one minute of silent meditation, led by the teachers. Those students who wish will be permitted to join with the teacher in prayer, chanting or other religious/spiritual ritual, drawn from a different faith tradition each day. The religious/spiritual interval will be followed by a short, no holds barred discussion about whichever of Lodamun's rich diversity of faith traditions has been selected that day. Shalom. Here endeth the resolution. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
