MessageJust floating an idea around on more "realistic" spending allocations, rather than the blanket "everyone gets just as much" thing we have now. Also, cuts a little so as to finance my new tax plan.

MessageYeah the problem is that the economy hasn't been put in place yet and the tax system isn't completely up and running. I will only support such changes when and if the economy is fully put into place and this system is fully up and running.

Anyway... we dont need much funding for trade and industry, as we dont do much regulating. Defense needs the most money to ensure the Rutanian people are safe from international pressure

MessageAnyway, since we appreciate the amount of funds that would go to Health and Social Services and Education and Culture, we shall vote in favour.

MessageDiplomacy has proven far more effective at preventing wars than troops have. ;-)

OOC: If you want I could dig up an amusing quote from Blackadder about having a large army to prevent war. ;-)

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
