Bill: Sturm und Drang - Joy
Details
Submitted by[?]: Commonwealth Workers Army
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2725
Description[?]:
The Pursuit of JOY. The highest pinnacle of human endeavour. We shall lead the People of Likatonia to True Joy - an intimate relationship with the One True God Immeressen, a peace of mind and a calm that can only be gained through the Purity of Thought programs taught by the Church of Immeressen. We suggest a few modest incentives: 1) We suggest outlawing the form of semi-legitimated theft that is currently known as 'adoption'. It is wrong for one person to own another. 2) We suggest modest means to remove disturbance in public places, by granting some small extra leeway to the good men and women of the police force, to enable them to deal with potentially harmful crowds. 3) We advocate a new schooling system, combined with en suite creche/babysitting/social networking facilities. The Children of the People of Likatonia should be allowed to attend these facilities, to help them better grasp the fundamentals of a Joyous state. 4) Obviously, such schools will deal with the long established religious nature of Likatonia, by adhering to strict, Immeressent, policies. 5) We also advocate that particularly unhappy people be allowed to attend special Happiness Camps, where they will undergo therapy to enable them to be productive, and joyous. |
