| The idea that the poor are mandated to serve in the military, but that the rich can opt out, is frankly disgusting. We oppose the current legislation on that basis, if no other. On the other hand, we feel that the 'rights' of citizenship in Likatonia are offset by acceptance of 'responsibility', and we would like to see some kind of 'responsibility' apprenticeship for our nascent citizens, before they assume full voting rights, etc. |

Old value:: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve a term in the military, but can shorten their term/forego it completely by paying a certain amount of money.
Current: There shall be no mandatory military or civilian national service.
Proposed: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve a term of civilian national service.

| Message | Why would the Neo Kanists oppose civilian service? It doesn't PREVENT military service, it just means that ALL citizens (regardless of their position regarding military service) can be called upon to serve in SOME capacity. |
