The government should have the power to take private lands for vital government works being built in the benefit of the greater good. To prevent governmental abuse of eminent domain, the victims of eminent domain shall set a reasonable compensation that the government would pay. The government would be free to appeal to the courts if victims of eminent domain make unreasonable compensation demands.

MessageI believe that a neutral party should remain the one to determine compensation. However, I will support article 1. "Vital government works" could most notably include disaster prevention efforts.

MessageWe do not think the government should be able to sieze property. In an emergency they should find it easy enough to procure the use of property from landowners, most of whom would no doubt be glad to assist in such a situation.
