Message | Awful... how can we justify murdering people? Murder is wrong, no matter who does it. |
Date | 04:40:37, March 31, 2009 CET | From | Free Thinking Tribes | To | Debating the Capital Crimes Prevention Act |
Message | It is not murder. It is killing, but not murder (the two have VERY different definitions). If someone is killed in war, is that murder? No. In the same way, when a person recieves their just due for crimes that they have done, it is not murder. |

Message | Generally killing at war is done in self-defence or defence of another. Killing by the state for retribution though, that is very much murder. We can dress it up however we want to try to hide that fact, but in the end, it is no different from any other murder committed. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
