Message | We have mixed feelings on this tax bill. On the one hand it is progressive, but on the other hand the poor and the middle class should never pay more taxes than the rich. However, we understand that the conservative motif is cut taxes while demanding a ballanced budget, so you can cut spending because "Oh no! How are we supposed to pay for the things we need (like defense) AND the things we don't need (like poverty reduction and social programs) with so few funds? Looks like we all gotta tighten our belts a little. Sorry medicine, education, and the food bank... We need to pay our soldiers first. We oppose. |
