Message | How can religions be treated as companies when they are not? If even faith is an approved target of taxation, is nothing sacred? Churches do not operate for 'profit', and cannot be treated as if they do. |

Date | 04:37:05, April 11, 2009 CET | From | Rutanian Restoration Party | To | Debating the Church Taxation Act |
Message | We are totally opposed to this. If the government starts taxing religions, then they'll be telling them what to do soon. This cannot happen, religion and government are not meant to be together and the OP sees this legislation as leading down this path. |
Date | 23:48:57, April 11, 2009 CET | From | Popular Socialist Liberation Movement | To | Debating the Church Taxation Act |
Message | We are convinced supporters of separation state from church, but we can't understand how religion or government can influence each other if Church Taxation Act will be adopted. Every organization which can make a profit from its activity, should be taxed regardless of type of this organization - religious or commercial. Otherwise religious activity can be used for the purpose of enriching by some unscrupulous businessmen. |
