MessageWhat evidence is there of conspiracy? It is illegal to ban political parties so I'd like to know how this can be justified with no evidence. So, I'm not recognizing this until a legitimate case can be made.

MessageOOC: Are you talking as a character or OOC? I can't tell. I will assume IC.

IC: Do I need to remind the leaders of the URP about the endorsement of Nova Terra by their party? Do I need to remind the leaders of the URP that it is illegal to do so?

Violation of the law warrants an arrest and that's the action we have taken here.

MessageWhat specific crime did these MPs commit other than being members of a certain political party? It is illegal to ban political parties. There is no evidence against these particular persons and no evidence of a conspiracy.

I recognize the right of the majority to enforce the law. I recognize that Nova Terra has been labelled a terrorist organization, however these particular people are not involved with Nova Terra. So what crime is being committed?

MessageMembership says everything. They have not come out and said that they will not endorse Nova Terra. By staying silent, they are endorsing Nova Terra. Matt Diggory has made a public statement saying he is not involved; however, we have evidence linking him to the organization. Such evidence will be provided at the trial.

We are investigating the financial records of the URP and the members of Parliament. It would be easier to prove their innocence if they agreed to cooperate with us and our investigation. The warrant for the arrest will allow us to interview the accused and get their side of the story. This had to be done due to the refusal of cooperation by the URP.

OOC: I hope you do realize that arrest does not mean conviction or jail time. And there are other alternatives such as what I mentioned above. Cooperation with authorities, etc. Be creative if you want to.

Random fact: When elections in a country are held, all bills in the voting phase are reset to the debate phase.

Random quote: "Up against the corporate government, voters find themselves asked to choose between look-alike candidates from two parties vying to see who takes the marching orders from their campaign paymasters and their future employers. The money of vested interest nullifies genuine voter choice and trust." - Ralph Nader
