Bill: National Congress Reduction Constitutional Amendment of 2741

Details

Submitted by[?]: Genuine Progress Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2742

Description[?]:

This bill aims to reduce the seats in the National Congress from 750 to 500.

MORE MEMBERS DID NOT EQUATE TO BETTER PERFORMANCE
As seen in recent years, the huge number of seats in the National Congress did not lead to better performance in the government. Performance in the National Congress has been below average to average in recent years. Reducing the seats in the National Congress can therefore lead to little effect in the Congress' performance or make it more efficient by having only the necessary amount of congressmen and congresswomen for the people.

REDUCTION SAVES THE PEOPLE'S MONEY
The people pay the taxes to the government. The taxes are used to pay for the expenses of Congress members. As we can see, performance in Congress has been lackluster in recent years, and thus the taxpayers' money has been wasted. By reducing the amount of Congress seats, we can save significant amounts of taxpayers' money that would have gone to waste under the hands of some inefficient Congress members.

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".
