Message | we supported the current legislation because it was included that prisoners should be paid minimum wage in prison. So they are not competing with free labor and there is no profit in hiring prisoners except a captive labor force, which capitalism accomplishes without overt force on the outside. |

Message | Can a representative from the RFP please explain the reasoning behind the bill description? We are overly confused with such a statement. |

Message | Sorry, I only meant to confuse, not overly confuse. :-) Prison labor is almost always manual labor, which is exercise, which improves their physical fitness, which makes them better able to commit violent crime. Having them sit aroudn all day, will keep us from releaseing fit prisoners. |

Message | But you know, they will have the ability to teach each criminality easier if they are not working. |

Random quote: "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, from those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children." - Dwight D. Eisenhower |
