MessageMaybe the Golden Age Party will want to swap Justice for Science & Technology with me? Otherwise I'm agreed with the proposal. :)

MessageI would prefer it if any proposal involving the Altruist Union Party came from the AUP itself, otherwise I would have put in one myself. They won the election. They may deisre more than three portfolios. I would like to hear an AUP opinion.

I also note that the KFP, which came third, is interested in the two most sought-after portfolios, Finance and Foreign Affairs. This is perfectly understandable but a little opportunistic. I might have laid claim to either of those myself.

The Optimates make an interesting suggestion about exchanging the Science for the Justice Ministry with my party (though I worry what they might do with our legal system!). I could accept that.

All this is open to negotiation but I definitely need some idea of the proposed government's general legislative agenda. If, for instance, crucial educational, scientific and healthcare infrastructure were to be reduced, this would not be a government for me.

I leave those comments in the open to see what will be said in response from all parties (maybe it is time for a wider debate about what the responsibilities of goverments and ministers are?).

MessageDespite the doubts expressed, nothing should be taken for granted these days. I do thank the Freedom Party for this gesture of openness!

MessageWe are bit concerned about the Golden Age Party holding several key positions, as they endorsed the Greens last elections. We respectively call on the GAP for a comment on this.

MessageSo GAP swaps justice with Optimalist party. What would the golden age party give to us, KFP for Foreign Affairs ?

MessageAUP, I supported the Greens to make things more interesting, since my candidature did not seem likely to win. Though we had our differences, Visser struck me as a reasonabel and active politician. Furthermore, he was an alternative to the radical deregulatory agenda that worries me when it affects well-functioning key sectors.

KFP, it would be OK, I do not seek the Foreign Affairs portfolio. I would be content with an assurance that Education, Science and Health would not be subject to cutbacks.

However, it seems we have a new situation. The SRF has disappeared, leaving a large chunk of the vote to be mopped up.

(Pity, I enjoyed being number two... the wife was so proud!)

MessageWe believe our party's constituency should be better represented in the nation's government and Altruist's should hold at least one other major office, besides Prime Minister. We have taken a position of leniency and conformity for many years in regards to cabinet proposals and the new government should be more pro Altruist! But we are reasonable and will vote yes to this proposal if not only out of respect for our fellow libertarians of the KFP.

We plan to propose a few changes if we are reelected.

MessageHilarious, I'm in government and I didn't even vote for myself.

I would have.

I accept the assurances made elsewhere by the KFP in relation to funding. We'll see what comes of it.
