Message | The REP thinks that there is no need for government involvement in this issue. Workers who are going to strike are aware of the risk of being fired. The current situation is beneficial because it stimulates a consensual problem solving process: the employees do not want to remain without workers while the employers do not want to remain without workplace so they can solve problems in a peaceful manner. The government interference is absolutely pointless. |
Date | 15:16:39, April 24, 2009 CET | From | Rutanian Heritage Party | To | Debating the Striking Workers Protection Act |
Message | We see no reason for this - the 'National Rutanian Popular Front' has a long-standing belief that the best consensus between employees and employers can be reached on an individual and diplomatic basis, without the need for striking, and there is no need for the government to be involved in the bargaining process. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
