Message | And there is no reason why unregulated, private corporations should be the sole power to construct them either. The government constructs these communities because of public will, not just for profit you see. The public sector has the regulation, the resources, and the oversight to sustainability maintain these structures. Secondly, the FAP advocates mixed-economic policies, and having a balanced economy is key to our agenda. Thirdly, the proposed article when it was law worked perfectly, and it was completely unnecessary to change it. Finally, with the increasing amount of corporate influence within political parties in Hulstria these days, I find the need for the government to oversee these kind of operations because I'm starting to wonder if these new laws that are giving the private industry these powers were actually implented to actually benefit citizens, not just company boards. |

Message | What increasing amount of corporate influence? |

Message | Zilberschlag Group (CLA), Aesculapius Corp (FKP) etc. Both these corporations have been described to be holding national political power within Greater Hulstria and thus having the ability to influence/make legislative decisions; the CLA itself, the whole party, is a full member of the Seka-Cola Company international organization and the Zilberschlag Group holds a seat on that companies board. One of the ZG businesses is "Construction", wouldn't it be nice if the government did not have a say in gated communities construction, and the ZG can collect the whole proft without any oversight. I mean, up until next year, the CLA have always voted against legislation to provide a tax-break to people who drive environmentally friendly fuel cars but suddenly after the Zilberschlag Group has announced they will be venturing into the green sector, the CLA changes it stance on the issue. This new round of devolution and private industry impowerment I'm afraid is only being pushed to increase the foothold of the Zilberschlag and Aesculapius corporations within Greater Hulstria and its standing with other corporations around Terra, not exactly to the benefit of regular citizens. |

Message | The Zilberschlag Group has no connections whatsoever to the CLA. It is a private business. If, as the FAP would assert, the government provides gated communities when public will supports but private business does not see profit then there is no business competition between the two sectors. The CLA opposes government involvement in gated communities on principle alone. OOC: The CLA is a member of the Seka-Cola Company international party org because of the limits of gameplay. ZG was placed in the corporate register to do just that, register the company in the larger international arena. It was marked as a national corporation because it only has operations in Hulstria. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
