Voting deadline: November 2761
Description[?]:
Release from the F.R.P. National Committee: It is our parties view that while our Federation is experiencing unprecedented growth, low unemployment and an ever increasing population that we should not sit idly by while the economy is holding steady. Now is the time to take action. By lowering the taxes we will further encourage spending domestically and further increase companies abilities to hire more employees and produce more goods. An increase in overall government spending added with these tax-cuts would further stimulate the economy and do our proud nation well on the international markets. |

Message | You propose taxing essential goods like food and water but no tax is levied against corporations. Something does not add up. Zachary Jackson Realist Finance Administrator |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The right honorable member of the Realist Party brings up a point, not one worth overly considering however. Indeed, we have chosen to cut taxes across the board; what the Realist Party prefer we have no source of government income? In our parties release with this measure we clearly stated that this is only being considered due to the unprecedented growth of our economy and our desire to spur this on further. Certainly now is not the time to quarrel over whether or not the tax-breaks were enough. The right honorable gentleman from the Realist Party states that this proposal doesn't add up. What doesn't add up is our governments spending obligations; where do the members of the Realist Party stand on this, dare I ask? Corporations add an invaluable service to our nation, it is them who create jobs, produce wealth and ultimately are the driving forces behind our economy. Giving our corporations a break such as this bill provides will further provide incentives for more business to open, creating more jobs, expanding markets and ultimately driving down costs for consumers. With a modest tax on essential goods still left in place which, might I add it is the Federal-Republicans who have submitted such sweeping cuts for consideration, will clearly offset the balance and likely cause the prices of the items you mentioned to be cheaper than they ever were before. I would urge all members of the Directorate to consider this and take the mantle and run with it. Now is not the time for inaction nor the time to advocate the status quo. Thank you, I yield the floor. Julia Thamion, F.R.P. Finance Policy Advisor |
