Wiki work

Hoping we can discuss and coordinate some general info about our nation here please, in preparation for putting it on the wiki (to prevent needless reverting of one another's work there).
UPK had created a similar wiki-discussion bill a day or two ago, but appear to have deleted it since then.

1) Climate: Kirlawa is pretty far from the equator, on the east coast of a major continent, bordering a large body of water.
Accordingly, I've pictured our climate as being similar to that of:
the USA's New England and/or New York;
or Argentina's northern Patagonia, the part that's about equidistant from Buenos Aires to Tierra del Fuego;
or Poland (bonus for being right next to Germany, as we are to Dundorf). Poland isn't on an east coast, but it is on the Baltic Sea, and is separated by western and west-central Europe from the continent's west coast, just as Aloria separates us from Artania's west coast.

Patagonia, due to the rain shadow from the Andes, is substantially drier than New England or Poland. I guess it depends on how mountainous Aloria is.

Everything on the east coast of Asia seems much too extreme -- Vladivostok too cold, Shanghai too hot, Seoul and Tokyo and Beijing both too cold and too hot. And Africa doesn't extend far enough south to provide any suitable comparison; Australia comes closer, but still falls a little short.

2) Geography: I remember someone (perhaps KDL or KPF?) had made a nice map of Kirlawa showing the landforms and the locations of our cities, but sadly I can't find it :(
If someone has it or can find it, I feel that it would be a great addition to the wiki.

3) Military: Orangeists and DFM, and possibly others, appear to be interested in military matters; should we add some military data to the wiki?

4) (Thank you for changing the colors in the list of recent presidents!)

5) And any other wiki-related matters that anyone else would like to suggest please :)

6) My view of our provinces' political leanings :)
Uwakah is Kirlawa's most leftist province. The socialist, environmental voters of Uwakah have been staunch supporters of the Leftist Coalition.
Dirguzia also tends to the left, but to a lesser degree than Uwakah.
Nuchtmark, and Dirlana to a slightly lesser degree, generally have conservative preferences.
Merkan has a heavy slant toward libertarianism.

Currently (as of the election of 2761), Uwakah gave the KPJP a plurality, and Nuchtmark almost a majority. KPJP are a fiscally leftist (appeals to Uwakah), socially center-right (appeals to Nuchtmark) party.
Dirguzia is governed by the SRP, who are a rather new party, but who appear so far to be both environmentalist and permissive (appealing to Dirguzia's leftists), although generally libertarian on the economy.
Dirlana is governed by the DFM, who as libertarians are very conservative on the economy. Cultural conservatives gave the Orangeists second and the KPJP third.
And the libertarian KAP have won Merkan's governorship again.

Historical evidence for my appraisals above....

In Uwakah, in 2741 the Orangeists topped the KPJP by less than sixty thousand votes, about a ninth of a percent. With that one exception, the Leftist Coalition have held Uwakah's governorship in every election since 2671, ninety years ago.
Looking further back, the DFM won the Uwakah governorship in 2760 and 2669, and before that was another long streak of Leftist Coalition governors, back to the 2603 term of the FFK (who despite their name were themselves actually left-leaning on the economy, voting with KPJP most of the time!).

Dirguzia had particularly favored the KPF (a Leftist Coalition party). Before the SRP's current governorship, Dirguzia had had two decades of UPK governors, and before that mostly the KPF, with occasional KPJP and DFM interruption.

Nuchtmark's rightists have rotated their support among KAP (rightist on economy), KPJP (on social), Orangeists (on both), and Reform (on both). Ever since 2641, only these four parties have held the Nuchtmark governorship, without exception.

Dirlana have chosen a slightly different selection of rightist parties; since 2626, only the DFM (rightist on economy), Orangeists, KPJP, and Reform have held the governorship, with one KPF exception in 2691.
Their support for the Orangeists, formed in 2719, has been particularly strong. From 2726 to 2757, the Orangeists won Dirlana twelve straight times, only faltering in 2761 after having abstained on many bills.

Merkan: since 2669, an unbroken string of governors from the KAP (libertarian both fiscally and socially) and KPF (socially permissive). And back when the ultra-libertarian LLH were around, from 2547 to 2581, Merkan had been their specially devoted base of support.

MessageInteresting stuff. Look fwd to seeing how this develops. My only strongly-felt request is that in the demographics, Kirlawa continues to have a significantly-sized Christian population.

Maybe we could add some famous buildings or monuments? Maybe an ancient pagan structure along the lines of Stonehenge, or a famous sports stadium, or a renowned art gallery which my party members could be continually picketing for depicting indecent images ;-) etc etc
