Message | Aloria cannot base investigations on rumors! Rumors are not cold hard facts, and until our Justice system brings us cold hard facts Parliament should not act on suspicion alone, whether "reasonable" or otherwise! |

Message | Most investigations are initially based on rumours that is why investigations are carried out. In any case an investigation would give transparancy to our political system. Since the accusations are of a very serious nature an investigation is only right and proper. |

Message | If the Aloria Party has nothing to hide... then surely they won't mind a small investigation into possible corruption. |

Message | At this moment, we are open to the possibility of an investigation. However, the Centre Democrats, as the proponent of this resolution, must clarify first several aspects of the proposed investigation, such as who are the people that will be invited to take part in the investigation. The Aloria Party actually made a good point when they said that they cannot have an investigation based on rumors alone. Rumors alone are not enough to call for an investigation. We, however, voted AYE on the basis of Harry Benson's expose and not on rumors alone. On another note, we question CD's current decision to abstain to the resolution. Surely they do not wish to back out from the investigation that they themselves proposed, don't they? |
