Message | Mr. Speaker, It is the view of the Federal-Republicans that Article 1 is a direct threat to our domestic economic agenda. Zardugal is one of Terra's largest exporters of weaponry. Our national laws are so set to create a perfect environment for the continued growth of our proud and honorable defense companies and putting undue government oversight onto the private-sector's affairs is something we can not and will not support. On the issue of Article 2 we commend the Order of the Zodiac and I shall go on record as saying it is an article the F.R.P. could consider independent of Article 1. Though as this bill is presented the F.R.P. must vote no. The Right Honorable members of the Order of the Zodiac may be a new presence here in the Directorate but, the Federal-Republicans welcome them into the hallowed halls of the Directorate. That having been said, I would call for a point of order to recognize the right of the Order of the Zodiac to be able to exercise their rights as a political organization within the Directorate despite their lack of representation at present. I speak on behalf of the Federal-Republicans on this and carry with my desire for a point of order the total collective vote of the F.R.P. I yield the floor, Mr. Speaker. -Director Kevin Allenby, 12th District of Unkassa |

Message | I understand the issues that it would create in domestic circles by restricting weapon sales, but the think of the work our research departments do. They send countless years developing the newest advanced weaponry, only to have them shipped overseas. Our soldiers will be killed by the same weapons we create to defend them. I do not wish to damage the strength of our exports or weapon manufacturers. This not a ban or the sale of weapons overseas, just a call for accountability to selling those weapons to our enemies! I must speak for my supporters, that is why I was elected, and I have to stand up for the causes they ask for. The members of OZ are proud supporters of this nations military and that is why we called for this bill. If you feel that I have crossed the line, I urge any of you to introduce a bill that will call for military reforms to strengthen our nation, and I shall support it. Only through debate can we come to a solution that will work for everyone. I only hope that the other members of the counsel will be as vocal about the issue. Thank you...I surrender the floor. |
