MessageOur recent tax cut, which had been proposed in order to dispense the big surplus
http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=252970
has greatly increased Kirlawa's GDP, from 56829 billion KDI in August 2764, to 62039 billion KDI in November 2764.

As a side effect of this, the surplus has instantly returned: from the 10 billion KDI that had been projected at the time, the current surplus is instead 540 billion KDI (as of January 2766) -- which is already almost half of the size of the previous surplus, the one which itself had inspired the tax cut in order to dispense it. :/

To try to spend this surplus again, and since the voters have reallocated the seats in the Assembly in the meantime, let's decide on a new budget?

The CSM have requested a decrease in funding for the Justice Ministry -- and also to limit the extents both of the reduction to Interior and of the increase to Defence -- so we've included these in this proposal, along with the UPK's allowing a moderate and reasonable increase in Defence.

MessageAs long as there is still a surplus left after our budget is spent. Deficits should only exist temproarily in the face of war or other emergencies; to be quickly followed by quick measures in order to pay back any debt.

MessageThis budget is far from perfect, but we would support it as an improvement upon the current budgetary spending plans.
