Message | National Parks are wonderful, we support. Though this would normally go against our liberal policies. |

Message | We still feel that this could be done at a local level, we thought the LibCom Party supported local involvement in land management. |

Message | Local governments can of course establish their own parks in addition to these national ones, and we would encourage them to do so. And of course we would expect the local communities to have a significant say in the management of the national parks. Nevertheless, some ecosystems are of national importance and overlap several regions, and these need to be dealt with at the national level. |

Message | libcom makes a fair point about cross regional areas of ecological concern. the danger of this legislation is that eco-interests could overwhelm potential industrial and farming growth. would libcom be willing to attach an addendum to this proposal that certifies that once the national parks are established they will not grow outward any further? we will take this in good faith since it is not an ingame effect. |

Message | We would certainly not be willing to restrict the future growth of the parks. We cannot be certain that we've already identified every ecologically sensitive area that may, in future, require protection. |

Message | LibCom is right - we won't know what areas will need more protection. |
