Bill: Fair Justice Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Peace and Freedom Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2776

Description[?]:

The complete fairness of the justice system in this nation should be established. The government should not have the power to execute people. It is not a machine of vengeance and will dutifully care out the law with fair regards. In even the most perfect system the wrong person could be killed. Therefor the end of capital punishment should be passed.

Also extradition should be allowed so long as the country doesn't have capital punishment or uses torture.

Lastly officers should not carry fully automatic weapons unless the situation requires it. Overbearing force leaves the populous feeling like they are being oppressed on a daily basics and our police officers shouldn't provoke that image as their job is to serve and protect the citizens.

MessageI laugh at this bill and know it will not pass for the simple fact is you are putting officers lives in danger on top of the fact of removing a vital part of the Criminal Justice system for offenders that deserve to die. There is a reason why we kill convicted criminals that is because they can never be replaced back into society and we don't and their crimes are extremely wrong and they have only the right to die.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
