Bill: Parliamentary Term Revision
Details
Submitted by[?]: Radical Nationalist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2775
Description[?]:
We believe that currently governments are given too long before being accountable to the public, we therefore believe that a general election should be called every 54 months (4 half years per term). We believe this is adequate for a government to bring in its manifesto pledges and will also help improve Democracy and confidence in it. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The length of a legislative and executive term, in months. Should be between 24 and 72.
Old value:: 72
Current: 60
Proposed: 54
