Bill: Renewable Energy Advancement Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: New Dawn Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2777
Description[?]:
We the NDP propose that our government reform current energy laws so as to create a legal environment which will allow for the formation of a state funded entity with specific interests in researching, building, and maintaining renewable energy infrastructure for our nation, especially in the fields of hydro and wind generated electricity.. Despite the fact that we propose to increase the state role in energy generation, we wish to highlight the fact that the NDP has no intention of damaging or radically altering our current energy grid provisions provided by public companies, as we see no need in altering a system which already provides adequate energy supplies for our citizens. We do however see this as an opportunity to begin the long term process of emancipating our nation from our subjugation to the demands of fossil fuel generated energy. Not only do we feel this will provide eventual cost benefits as a result of reduced dependency on increasingly expensive fossil fuels, but also a wealth of health and environmental benefits. Before: Private power stations provide energy for the entire power grid. Proposed: Private and public powerstations exist side-by-side. Before: The decision on renewable energy sources is left up to local governments Proposed: Government subsidies are provided for research and generation of energy through renewable sources |

They are all alike, whatever the nationality. All they wanted from me was the most work for the least money that kept me alive. So I became a communist." - Nikita Khrushchev |
