Message | We oppose this legislation, as it is rooted in faulty economic principles that have long been recognized as flawed and counter-productive. The RHP is not a capitalist party, per se, but we support capitalism as an essential economic structure, albeit one that can and will fail in various circumstances; we support capitalism not for ideological reasons, but simply because it works. To transfer previously privatized services back to public control is fruitless, and may in fact prove to be a step backwards in many cases, rather than helping to make the services more efficient or effective, as the PSLM seems to hope it will. |
