MessageAll my comments on this bill will be OOC given the nature of it.

I honestly failed to see the significance of the Greek and French names. Neither has been in our culture. At least not since I have been here and that's quite a long time.

The current names are just that...names. To be honest, I don't see how names can be "bad." Making them more...exotic does nothing to them. Obviously, that's just my opinion.

The names are simply meant to sound better than the current hodgepodge. I do think Wednesday is a bad name for a city, yes. As for French, Greek, Roman names; I chose them because I think they sound better than the current ones on their own merits -not to be "exotic." However I simply listed where the names came from because I think cities in the same Republic would share some commonality.

I understand the LP doesn't understand what makes a good city name since it proposed such gems as "Port Goldenshine." I apologize to the LP if it's offended by proposing cities in individual Republics sound similar (as if Republics have unique cultural differences - they do!), since the city names it proposed were from a "city name generator."

MessageI honestly didn't know there was a checklist to determine if a name is good or bad. I can understand that it may be inappropriate given that there might be a defined culture or language but this is not the case.

And Wednesday has been there for a lot of time. In fact, for as long as I can remember. I didn't create it that I can recall. I'll give you that that one may be a bit inappropriate since it is the name given to a day of the week.

So, you are saying that a Union that has existed for hundreds and hundreds of years has such a diverse cultural phenomena occurring in its States/Republics. Seriously? From Roman to French to Greek. I don't see the connection. Care to explain that?

MessageIs there a point in continuing this debate when I know you're going to vote against it anyway? I was not consulted when you arbitrarily named a city after your dictator president. I'm happy to debate and negotiate this bill with parties who are open to debate and negotiation.

MessageWhen changing city names you've got to consider the roleplay. Considering the anti-LP 'revolution' the renaming of Kynes City can easily be explained off as the people striking back at their dictator and wiping away his family's image from the nation. However, none of the other cities are attached to the LP in any visible away, nor is there any other reason to change them aside from some of them being a bit unnatural. If you must change the city names, keep in mind that Lodamun is a very diverse nation that doesn't have a particularly dominant ethnic group. So cities should either be very diverse or rather neutral.

MessageI dont really see much of a need to re-name the cities of Ladmun.

MessageI'd like if other parties proposed new names for cities, but I think we can all agree to restore the name of Orean, right? The fact that Orean, HQ of the URP would have its name changed by the LP should be overturned ASAP. I will propose that name change in a separate bill coming soon.

MessageCorrection: Orean is not the HQ of the URP, the HQ of the URP happen to be located in the city formerly named Orean.

And why should it be changed to Orean?

MessageI'm sorry to interrupt from faraway Kirlawa, but I just wanted to mention that the names of sixteen of Lodamun's twenty listed cities are very old, having been in existence centuries before the Liberal Party arose.

The four exceptions, which were created or renamed recently:
Kynes City
Kenttol
Port Goldenshine
Port Potters River Valley

MessageI agree the names are old, however I notice the KPJP does not dispute that fact that the names are stupid. The URP would love to keep the city names the same IF THEY WERE GOOD, but they are not.
