Bill: GM Restriction Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Ecotopian Party of Kalistan
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2131
Description[?]:
We do not support the creation of genetically modified food, but recognise that the research may have some benefits that are, as yet, unforeseen. However, we also endorse a position of free trade and do not wish to impose our views on other countries. We also recognise that winding back the production of GM may affect farmers interests and would like to see Government support farmers through the transition. Thus, this bill should be read in conjunction with the Farmers Aid Act. |
