Bill: His Holy Majesty's Armed Forces Loyalty Act of 2791
Details
Submitted by[?]: Constitutionalist Imperial League (IA)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2796
Description[?]:
Representing His Imperial and Most Excellent Majesty, Emperor Edward III of Luthori, Alduria and Mordusia, Maharaja of Namviet, King of Yishelem and New Alduria and Grand Duke of Talmorschland, Defendor of the Faith; we ask that only Luthorians and Hulstrians may serve in His Holy Majesty's Armed Forces, as was the accepted standard previously. This would assure that only His Majesty's subjects may serve in the military. The classification would be made by ethnicity. Furthermore, we install a ban on the military service of any of His majesty's subjects for a foreign power not part of either the Terran Empire or the Commonwealth Alliance. |

Message | Mr Speaker, Is Luthorian an ethnicity? This, we believe, violates equal justice under law, a core conservative principal. I yield. |

Message | Mr Speaker, We were indeed speaking of the Luthorian and Hulstrian ethnicity. However, if this would please more parties, we could modify this to read "Luthorian and Hulstrian by nationality". I yield. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I can not support for the fact that Aldurians were left out. Since Luthori has been linked to Alduria more recently, and Alduria has saved our buts in the past, seems only right that they be allowed to also serve. Yet at the same time I do not agree with this bill in principle. If a citizen or subject wants to serve his Emperor and Empire, then he should be allowed to serve. No matter what he believes and thinks, if he wants to serve then he should be allowed. I yield. |

Message | Mr Speaker, His Imperial Higness Prince WIlliam II of Geharon would be willing to include Aldurians as an ethnic classification. I yield. |
