Message | There is a different between deregulating and just totally removing something. |
Date | 00:34:35, July 26, 2009 CET | From | Nationale Demokratische Union | To | Debating the Wage Deregulation Act |
Message | Having a set national minimum wage, especially one at the "living wage", is harmful to small businesses and if they're able to pay a few less Crowns an hour, they're able to create more jobs. |

Message | Business/corporations have a 0% tax. They can afford it. |

Message | You assume just because there is a 0% tax they can afford it. You're forgetting the fact that while it may allow them to keep all their income, they still have to purchase the goods they sell, unless they make them themselves, but they'd still have to buy the supplies. |

Message | Without some sort of minimum wage, businesses can pay workers 3 cents an hour for all they care. This is a horrible bill. |

Message | We also don't have a salary cap law nor a daily working hours law. This law will open a can of worms if it passes and it looks as if no one here understands what we are doing to Hulstrian families and workers. This is cowboy capitalism and I don't like it. |

Message | Businesses can pay workers 3 cents an hour, and then their workers will leave to somewhere with better pay, or they might even pursue higher education. If a business doesn't pay their workers well, they'll be forced to do so eventually since workers will go to the better jobs. Its how capitalism works. |

Message | You think it is that easy to find a job? Look at some areas of the country, some have near 10% unemployment; I'm sure citizens in Budenlar or Mitrania will have a dandy time trying to find a well paying job. Minimum wage is the least we can do for the regular Hulstrian considering the amount of laws we have in favor of big business. Go tell your oh so angry 21 million voters who are crying that you don't care if businesses may 3 cents an hour, then my friend you will really know what the term isolationism means. |

Message | We have had the minimum wage and unemployment in some of our crownlands has remained the amongst the highest in all Terra for well over a century. Let us see if we can make some improvement. |
Date | 22:18:40, July 26, 2009 CET | From | Nationale Demokratische Union | To | Debating the Wage Deregulation Act |
Message | To the FAP: The 10% unemployment is the fault of the unemployed themselves. There are plenty of jobs and if they're too lazy to get out there and job search, then its their fault. And we didn't endorse the pay of 3 cents an hour, what we did endorse was the ability of the workers to leave their bad jobs to go to better ones, therefore causing the employer who pays 3 cents an hour to have to raise pay so he has workers. |

Message | So you're calling Hulstrians lazy? Where are these jobs then NDU? Can you bless the Diet and the people in Budenlar and Mitrania in telling them where those jobs are? Minimum wage is the least we can do for the regular Hulstrians as I said, we are spitting on the average Hulstrian by subjecting them to low pay for long hours and having to leave their job only to wait months to find another one if they can. |
