Bill: NRF Public Health Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Nationalis Revolutionae Frontis Selucia

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2793

Description[?]:

1. We MUST withdraw from this absurd and authoritarian treaty that not only dictates what laws we can and can not choose, but callously impinges upon the rights and well being of females within Selucia. Why should a young girl who has been raped be forced to have an unwanted child, especially in such traumatic circumstances? Why should she be forced to put her life at risk in some back alley abortion to rid herself of a horrible burden? Is it simply to allow you heartless conservative pricks to feel all warm and fuzzy because you are protecting the rights of something which is not even born yet over that which is already born and being abused in the here and now? How you can sit there and deny basic human rights and dignity to women and act all smug and superior is beyond me. You have no moral authority and no empathy whatsoever.

2. Organ donations save lives. That is not up for debate. If we increase the number of donations, we save more lives. Again, that is not up for debate. The best way to achieve this is through assuming consent for organ donation unless specifically stated - an opt-out system rather than an opt-in. Those who don't want their organs donated can opt out if they wish, thus the new piece of legislation leaving them unaffected. Those who don't opt-out will have their organs donated. It is all a rather logical and simple system that will greatly improve our ability to save lives and increase longevity.
