Message | Article 1 is proposed in the belief that children should not be overly punished with a subpar living standard just because their parents are from a low socio-economic background. Whilst it's argued that parents of low wages should not be having children, the children themselves were not consulted and should not be held at fault for this decision. Article 2 provides a safety net for people falling on hard times. Sometimes job loss is no indication of a person's performance or willingness to work. However the time period limit ensures that there is an incentive to work. This should be combined with a government initiative for adult education to make them more qualified so as to seek new employment. Article 3 proposes a two tier pension system. It is very well to speak of responsibility and freedom but people often lack the oversight when they're young, and fifty years later they're elderly and poor, and this puts the government in the impossible position of either watching these people perish without income or straining the state system to take care of them. It is better to mandate them to save now. |

Message | Article 2 is supported. But the other two are not. The State should guarantee child benefit to all families, therefore giving all the same advantage in life. Segregating low income famlies isn't fair on them, or on their children. This party proposes that the minimum wage be such that no family should ever not be able to afford the minimum standard of living for them and/or their dependants. |
