ID cards infringe upon the personal privacy of all citizens, and opens the door to discrimination by the state and private organisations and make it easier to steal personal information, since it comes from a single source. any advantages gained through ID cards to combat terrorism or organised crime, make the individual more vulnerable to the state and to interest groups in society. |
