MessageI note that the portfolios suggested here would put my Golden Age Party at the helm in key economic decisions. I accept this challenge. The Golden Age Party has often found itself between camps on economic issues and it is high time a clear policy was formulated. Three of my most brilliant colleagues will take time out from their research projects to coordinate Infrastructure & Transport, Science & Technology and Trade & Industry.

As liberal conservatives we do not believe in Utopian ideals, except in the sense that our national institutions are already rather good as it is. So there can be no dead-hand statism, no furry-creature-loving anarchy with the GAP, just as I oppose naive free market ideology. In economics as in life, the GAP is sceptical of all wishful dogma.

With trust in our great institutions and a little practical problem-solving we will realise our vision of a modern, vibrant, dynamic Kirlawan economy.

This will require high levels of technological and infrastructure investment as well as encouragement for individual or common enterprise. Intelligent regulation will inform markets with the input they require.

The Jaguar is ready to leap!
