MessageRealistically, there is not a single reason why ministries such as Infrastructure and Transport or Science and Technology should have such a high budget. Nearly all industry has been privatised and the Government is not responsible for enough to warrant such high amounts of funding.

This bill proposes to bring the funding of most industries to a standard of 150 million VAN. The only exceptions are as follows:

Food and Agriculture - has survived on its current budget for a signficant amount of time, there is little need to change it.
Infrastructure and Transport - will be cut to 150 million VAN eventually, but considering its significant cut in funding this should be done in stages.
Defence - the sole responsibility of a Government is to protect its people, so this funding will go towards the maintainance of the armed forces and development of more in-depth intelligence agencies.
Foreign Affairs - there is little need for funding of any sort to this department assuming the National Security and Isolationism Act of 2810 passes.
Head of Government - considering this department is not responsible for anything that requires funding, the only budget required is to pay wages. This amount should be satisfactory.

Overall it is a significant budget cut that can allow for a vast cut in taxes to the people.

Random fact: Moderation will not approve a Cultural Protocol request within the first 48 hours of it being requested. This is in order to give other players a chance to query the proposed changes, if they wish to do so. Moderation may be approached for advice on a proposed change, but any advice proffered should always be understood under the provisio that no final decision will be made until at least 48 hours after the request has been formally submitted for approval.
