Bill: Parlamentet Seat Increasement Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kristen Socialdemokratisk Partiet

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2814

Description[?]:

Parlamentet Seat Increasement Act

1) The current average number of people represented by each seat in the parlamentet is 1,200,000.
2) This act will increase the number of seats in the Parlamentet to 537 people, rather than 333, to establish a seat for every 750,000 people rather than every 1,200,000 people. 537 is divisible by three to get 179; therefore, calculations about whether 2/3 of the legislature has vote yes or no on a bill will still be simple. With this system, people will be better represented in the parlamentet, and this act will provide a more democratic process within the government without destroying the legislative process.

Only the "Culturally Open" nations are not bound by the rules surrounding culture. The Cultural Protocols Index should be consulted for more information about the cultural situation of each nation.
