Message | We deeply oppose these welfare-centerred legislation. We believe in a minimalistic state and also in the autonomy of the citizens. The measure proposed by the NDPR is only a short term advantage but on long term the status quo is more beneficial. |

Message | We must allow the lower classes access to suitable health care provided by the state. The people won't seek medical help because they are fearful of the crushing financial bills they WILL receive. We need to provide some sort of health plan for the less wealthy among us otherwise an ever increasing cycle of poverty, disease and crime will incur. We hope for your support in trying to change these things. |

Message | This legislation is rooted in faulty thinking and thoroughly disproven economic ideology - the NDPR presume that the federal government is somehow the most effective and efficient mechanism for the funding, management and distribution of vital resources, despite the fact that this idea is fundamentally flawed, as shown on many occassions. Private health systems have been shown to be not only more efficient, attracting a higher class of medical practitioner due to competitive salaries, but fairer - to put it bluntly, why shouldn't each individual pay for his own health-care, and why should those who can afford private health-care be forced to pay for the public health-care of others as well? Furthermore - and perhaps most importantly - we do not believe that the federal government has any legitimate role in funding or managing the public health-care system. Both logically and constitutionally, healthcare and indeed all social services are the domain of local governments, where decision-making capacity can reside closer to the families and communities most affected by it. |

Message | Surely a healthy society is necessary for an effective economy. We fully support this bill, as access to health care for all citizens should be a right and not a privilege. |
Date | 01:16:31, September 10, 2009 CET | From | Rutanian Heritage Party | To | Debating the Health Care Reform |
Message | Healthcare is most certainly not a 'right', as it is not defined by Rutania's constitution, nor is it, in any concievable way, a 'natural right' - though we dispute the concept of natural rights entirely. If the people of Rutania want public health-care, this can be administered at the local level - there is simply no need for the federal government to involve itself in an issue that has been the responsibility of local governments for decades. |
