From | SDLP/ Caillea Vinstri Bandalag | To | Debating the Ratification of the Interpol | Message | The UP feels that it is proper and necessary for the Republic of Egelion to help in the international effort to stop and prevent crime. Since the legislature has recently allowed for extradition, the UP feels that joining this treaty is the next logical step |

From | Free Reform Party | To | Debating the Ratification of the Interpol | Message | We have no problem with an international police force; but shouldn't we start with a more local interpol with our neighbors on the island? That way our more local interests are insured. |

From | SDLP/ Caillea Vinstri Bandalag | To | Debating the Ratification of the Interpol | Message | The UP had considered contacting the other Keris states. With the Keris Union, it may not be a stretch to get them to join this treaty in the same vein of cooperation. The only problem is that we have to get the treaty passed here first. The UP feels that waiting until after the next election would be prudent as we can then get a better idea of the votes this treaty will get (the Communists and Capitalists, as noted in another debate, are too much of a wild card when it comes to treaties as they are both isolationists). |

From | Free Reform Party | To | Debating the Ratification of the Interpol | Message | It is unfortunate, the FRP thinks that interpol will not be very effective stretched out over a few disparate nations on the planet. Having said that, we see that the nations who have ratified this treaty already are nations that also signed the treaty to protect copyrights, so maybe they share our interests more than our neighbor countries.
Perhaps we should look to forging stronger relationships with them and let the KU go where it wants?
Would the UP or EPP be willing to put forward a free trade treaty with all of the nations that have signed both interpol and the copyright protections treaty? |

From | Christian Social People's Party | To | Debating the Ratification of the Interpol | Message | Rather than trying to build allegiances with people who have signed this treaty or that, the EPP believes it would be better to pursue a treaty that establishes a World Trade Organisation that any and every state can join. |

From | SDLP/ Caillea Vinstri Bandalag | To | Debating the Ratification of the Interpol | Message | If the EPP wishes to establish a WTO treaty, the UP would consider it as long as the treaty would protect workers from manipulative trade practices. However, the Interpol treaty is about more than protecting copyright laws, as the FRP seems so concerned about. This treaty is about cooperation on a wider law enforcement scale |

From | Free Reform Party | To | Debating the Ratification of the Interpol | Message | A WTO would be an excellent notion. Let's get on that government guys.
As to Interpol, we find the language of the treaty is wide enough for us to be as exclusive about extradition as we would like; therefore we will support the bill. |
