Message | We do not support for the simple fact that by passing this ammendment to the current laws it ignores religious education completely and does not specify that such scientific education should be limited to science classes. |

Message | It is the opinion of the Classical Liberal Party that the term: "religious education", specifically when used in the context of religious education not being a scholarly or philosophical engagement but a discourse of supposed "facts", is an oxymoron. Scientific education need not be limited to science classes, as the scientific method and realism apply to virtually every discipline taught in education (ex. Social Sciences etc.). We believe that educators should not be able to teach children falsehoods and lies, and bring them up to believe in them, despite all contradicting evidence, to the bitter end. The purpose of this bill is to merely prevent this from happening. Facts, rooted in reality, ought to protected, and the misinformation, disinformation and propaganda advanced by special interest groups such as religious sects should most definitely be kept out of the education of the children of this nation, as far as factual information is concerned. |
