Old value:: A neutral body appointed by the courts determines the compensation, either party may appeal.
Current: The government determines compensation for victims of eminent domain; victims can sue if they deem it unfair.
Proposed: The victim of eminent domain determines just compensation.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change The education system.
Old value:: There is a free public education system alongside private schools.
Current: There is a free public education system and a small number of private schools, which are heavily regulated to ensure they teach adequate skills and information.
Proposed: Education is private, but the government issues vouchers to pay for the schooling of disadvantaged children.
Article 3
Proposal[?] to change Renewable energy sources (eg. solar power, wind power).
Old value:: Government subsidies are provided for research and generation of energy through renewable sources.
Current: Government subsidies are provided for research and generation of energy through renewable sources.
Proposed: The government does not take any position with regards to renewable energy.

Message | We will be voting no since the proposals are not similar enough to justify enclosing in a single bill. For the record, our opinions on the proposals are: 1. against - we have no eminent domain and therefore this does not apply and so is a waste of time & money; 2. support 3. support Split them out and we'll vote for 2 and 3. |
