Schools are required by their local government to teach a 2nd language from grade school on up through high school. Teaching our kids to be bilingual will not only help them find jobs but will help them prepare for colleges which usually require a knowledge of a 2nd language.

MessageWe think this should be optional as it's not an essential subject. We believe that students should be proficient in their own language first in addition to math, and then study language in college if they choose.

MessageSo if it was regulated by local governments would you be willing to vote on this? Because I feel that this is an important issue for our kids. Because now colleges require at least some knowledge of a foreign language and high schools sometimes only give a year or two on this subject. Whereas in this bill kids will be brought up learning how to speak multiple languages. This will help them better understand other cultures other than their own as well.
