Bill: Impending Collapse Prevention Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Communist Party of Kafuristan
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2131
Description[?]:
Our nation is spending much more than our income tax is assisting, and we cannot cut funding by nearly enough! -104,221,559,142 KAF !!! Our economy and government will be entirely destroyed if we do not stop this unhealthy decline through a slight increase in taxation. We must increase taxes AND lower spending. We will immediately lower spending after we have near balanced the budget through the passing of this proposal, as cutting it right now may be dangerous with a fragile economy. |

Message | We can definitely decrease government spending by a whole lot less instead of taxing the people this way. |

Message | ...We will decrease funding to meet the slightly increased tax revenues. However, we shouldn't lower spending without first compromising with slightly increased taxes. 48% is the absolute maximum tax rate, and I was sure to not bring the increments to a final value above 50. I was thinking of an additional bracket, but that would mess up the rest of the incriments and I knew you would definitely oppose the added bracket. |
