MessageI dont think having no official state language would work, it may even promote seperatist movements and so endanger the unity of Badara.

MessageOOC: I feel I must intervene in this matter, as Al'Badara's culture has been mutilated.

A) The nation is called Al'Badara. It has been called Al'Badara since the dawn of time with the exception of the brief USSR period, when it was still recognized as Al'Badara in short-hand. I understand the parties need for secularization, but while the prefix was brought about by the Islamic religion, it has stayed due to the Islamic culture, and should not be changed.

B) The major ethnic group of Al'Badara is Majatran with a near total dominance. Following that are the native Aslis, and then the groups are too small in number to list individually. The anglicisation of the nation is ridiculous considering this, if you wished to join an English-based country, there is a plethora of carbon-copies out there with that exact culture. However, Al'Badara has a unique culture from all of the other nations of Terra, and this should be preserved by the parties.

C) When almost everyone in the nation is Majatran, why would the only official language be Luthori? Majatran(Arabic) is predominantly spoken by both the Aslis and Majatrans, while Luthori(English) is only spoken by a select few of the minorities and some of the other more well-off Badarans.

D) What Majatran would vote for a candidate named John Graham or Woody Komodo? I see that everyone in the cabinet is of Luthori culture, yet the Luthori population of Al'Badara is miniscule, the likelihood of a largely Majatran nation to accept a fully Luthori cabinet is indefinitely tiny. If you have any intentions of preserving the culture, atleast make an effort to use native names. http://www.behindthename.com/random/ is a great way to find names from around the world. http://www.surnames.behindthename.com/ is a great resource for last names from around the world as well.

I plead to the parties here to work together to preserve the culture of Al'Badara.

Also, for those of you who doubt my knowledge on the subject, just check this party. It's first elections were back in the 2650's, and this isn't even my first Badaran account.

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left.
