Bill: National Sport Un-crapmaking bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Libertarian Alcoholic Party II

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2135

Description[?]:

Jousting was the Imperial Party's idea, and they don't even exist anymore. The LAP always though Jousting was a bit of a lame national sport, and I suspect most people wouldn't really care if it was changed to something a bit cooler.

MessageGood god, not American "football".

I would support cricket, but poker is better than jousting. Football is too boring and generic, and it's an overhyped game anyway. Cycling... that's just weird...

MessageWohey, the FP agrees about poker. Could anyone else stomach poker as a national sport?

MessageWell poker really isn't a sport. Do you break a sweat from actual physical activity in poker? I rest my case.

If we want something besides jousting I'd be fine with cricket since it does deserve credit for being one of the few games that is more boring than baseball, a hard feat I must say. Hey if no one likes American Football we can always use the sport that American football grew out of Rugby. ;-)

MessageWhen I say 'football' I refer of course to that which the Great Satan refers to as soccer. ;)

MessageGuys - even if you don't really love the poker suggestion, just think - can anything be worse than jousting? Support the poker now, just so other nations don't laugh at us. We can always change it even more later.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
