I call for the House to declare that the current Cabinet has lost its confidence and for His Excellency President James Lowe to immediately start talks with the leaders of the parties represented in this House about a possibilities of a future coalition having the support of the majority of the House.

MessageMr. Dahl,

Although I recongnize your concern with the current cabinet coalition, I must respectfully decline your proposed plan. The current cabinet has not fallen out of favor with the nation and the Assembly and because of that I fail to see what will come out of dissolving our cabinet and waiting 6 months to debate over who gets what and another 3 months to vote. My mind is made up and there shall be no more discussion about this issue. I urge all parties to vote "No".

Sincerely,

President James Lowe

MessageAlfons Dahl (Merkan) (National Democrats)

Before I start, may I welcome His Excellency President James Lowe to his new position as the President of the Republic. He has very thoughtful and decent shoes to fill— those of the hon. and learned Ferdinand Kerbrunner — but I am sure that he will do a very good job.

However I must insist on putting forward the current proposal as the incumbent Cabinet has lost the backing of majority of the House. I wish to remind the right and hon. President Lowe that his position allows him no supervision over what and when this House shall discuss.

MessageSince I'm the chair of the cabinet, I will take over discussions. As stated by our president, the idea of a new cabinet is not in the coquestion and I of urse agree with President Lowe that this discussion is over. No new cabinet; even if we have fallen out of the majority.
