Date | 18:08:42, December 22, 2009 CET | From | Alliance Res Publica | To | Debating the Treaty Reform Act |
Message | We would like to state that we are not seeking this to implement any policies that are in any way limiting the freedoms of our citizenry. We seek to empower the people of Kalistan. Treaties are a usurpation of the people's sovereignty. |
Date | 21:47:11, December 22, 2009 CET | From | Socialist Party of Kalistan (SPoK) | To | Debating the Treaty Reform Act |
Message | We oppose your moves against the protections of the rights of the people. The people of Kalistan need protections from people who seek to undermine their basic freedoms and liberties. Hence we need treaties, if for no other reason than to slow the right down in their never ending quest to crush all good out of this country. |
Date | 03:12:24, December 23, 2009 CET | From | Alliance Res Publica | To | Debating the Treaty Reform Act |
Message | I empathize with the sentiments of SPoK; however, I do not believe this distrust of the people is acceptable. Does the Socialist Party of Kalistan trust the people enough to vote to protect their rights OR do they think that other nations can dictate our policy and freedoms better? The people of Kalistan did not draft these treaties, nor did they get to give their direct approval to them. This democratic disconnect is unacceptable to Alliance Res Publica. |
Date | 09:07:56, December 23, 2009 CET | From | Socialist Party of Kalistan (SPoK) | To | Debating the Treaty Reform Act |
Message | We don't distrust the people. We distrust the Parties which claim to speak for the people, while promoting their own very narrow ideological program at the expense of the needs of our society. |

Random fact: Moderation will not approve a Cultural Protocol request within the first 48 hours of it being requested. This is in order to give other players a chance to query the proposed changes, if they wish to do so. Moderation may be approached for advice on a proposed change, but any advice proffered should always be understood under the provisio that no final decision will be made until at least 48 hours after the request has been formally submitted for approval. |
