Description[?]:
We, the Parliament of the United Republics of Lodamun, do hereby posthumously promote General David Porter to General of the Armies and Admiral Andrew Adams to Admiral of the Navy for their incredible contributions to the well-being and security of our country. The rank of General of the Armies shall be senior to the five-star rank of General of the Army, only granted during times of war. The rank of Admiral of the Navy shall be senior to the five-star rank of Fleet Admiral, only granted during times of war. During his military career, General David Porter led several successful operations. Most notably, during the Likatonian-Lodamun War of the mid 2500's. General Porter commanded an army group near the Likatonian border where he successfully pushed back on the intruding Likatonian Army. During this operation, only 1,000 of our own soldiers died, marking the most successful large scale military operation in recent history in our country. After his career, General Porter was elected President for two terms where he successfully ended the Likatonia-Lodamun War and greatly increased Lodamun's standing in the world. During his military career, Admiral Andrew Adams also led several successful operations. Most notably, during the Likatonia-Lodamun War of the mid 2500's. Admiral Adams commanded one of the two Lodamese Fleets during the war. He successfully managed to stop one of the Likatonian Fleets from imposing a blockade of Lodamun, thus keeping trade open and key resources flowing. Many historians argue that Admiral Adams' great accomplishments during the war were the reasons Lodamun was not overrun and defeated by the more powerful Likatonian Army and Navy. After his military career, Admiral Adams was elected President for one term where he successfully converted our military into one the leading powers in the world. For these and many other accomplishments, both men deserve the highest military ranks and distinctions our country offers. This resolution shall pass with the consent of a majority of Parliament and the President. Upon passage, both men shall be promoted to their new ranks. |

Message | You offer no proof that these men were heroes. If I recall, chemical weapons were used against our own people and efforts to investigate the matter were blocked by Liberal MPs. |

Message | Do you ever read the description of the resolutions? We offer sufficient proof for both men. The incident you have cited has nothing to do with this and it happened over 300 years ago. |

Message | You offer no proof. Your claims are unsubstantiated and as an active member at the time, I can tell all parties your claims are absolutely false. The war was fought to a bloody stalemate resulting in no glory and no heroes. The cause of the war, Lodamese citizens of Likatonian decent living in Rapula, was "solved" by unleashing chemical weapons on unarmed refugees. True, these atrocities committed by Liberals were 300 years ago as you claim. However I fail to see why the crimes of the past should be ignored while equally old accomplishments (that never occurred) should. |
