Message | "Recreational drug use puts a strain on the health service" - No. Only those that have been shown to have no or small harmful side effects are permitted meaning that the NHS is not under strain. "the police force through crimes committed by habitual drug users in order to pay for their habit." - And criminalisation will increase prices and therefore crimes to get the money as well creating more crimes for the police to enforce. |

Message | Where does it say only those with no or small side effects are permitted? "There are NO LAWS regulationg what citizens put into their bodies" is what the current bill states. "Criminalisation will increase prices and therefore crimes to get the money" Wishy-washy leftist nonsense, just because something becomes illegal doesn't mean it will become expensive, here in Scotland class A drugs are not astronomically expensive. |

Message | "Where does it say only those with no or small side effects are permitted? "There are NO LAWS regulationg what citizens put into their bodies" is what the current bill states." - Unfortunately the proposal does not fully match the bill description. From the actual bill (http://82.238.75.178:8085/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=8157) "A Public Health "Watchdog" will be set up to monitor the uses and side-affects of these drugs, and will provide information to the Government and Health Services as to any harmful effects that may occur with long term use." You haven't addressed my second point - Criminalising drug use by definition will increase the amount of crimes committed and therefore reduce police time and funding further. |
