Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 10:00:17, February 24, 2010 CET | From | Left Revolutionary Committee | To | Debating the Military Reform |
Message | The LRC is against a nationalized army of career soldiers opting instead to implement a system of guerrilla training for our citizens so they can defend their homeland in the horrific act of a foreign invasion. Where a national army can be destroyed in war or abused by domestic politicians, a series of localized guerrilla forces acting independently to attack and terrorize an invading force would be much more resilient. |
Date | 17:07:37, February 24, 2010 CET | From | Iron Guard of the Archangel | To | Debating the Military Reform |
Message | A guerilla army is useful as a backup. However, guerilla warfare would hurt our civilian population more, as the cities would become battlefields. |
Date | 08:11:08, February 25, 2010 CET | From | Left Revolutionary Committee | To | Debating the Military Reform |
Message | The idea of the guerrilla army implies that the civilian population takes up arms in defense of their homes. The LRC's agrarian intention for Dorvik is to encourage a population shift from the unsustainable cities into more localized rural eco-communities, making conventional occupation for an invading force immensely difficult. |
